Dato Ricky Tan and His Fellows From Malaysia Visited Dalian Maritime University

On March 13 and 14, Dato Ricky Tan and his fellows from Malaysia visited Dalian Maritime University. DMU Vice President Zhao Youtao met visitors at International Students’ Education Center (ISEC).
Vice President Zhao first extended warm welcome to Dato Ricky Tan and his fellows, and then briefly introduced DMU from the various aspects including school history, majors, numbers of international students, research projects, etc. He also wished the two parties could realize cooperation in the future.
Mr. Dato Ricky Tan was grateful for DMU’s warm welcome. He expressed that Malaysian government attached great importance to the admission and cultivation of Malaysian international students in China; it was an honor for him to visit DMU and he hoped this visit would promote mutual cooperation including creating the university-enterprise cooperative platform, establishing DMU oversea campus in Malaysia, etc.

ISEC Deputy Director Peng Xuefei did a general introduction to the condition of DMU international students, hoping that the cooperative projects such as students exchange programs will soon be implemented.
After the meeting, Mr. Dato Ricky Tan joined Law School faculty and students to exchange with them, through which he got to know the DMU research condition of law related to “One Belt, One Road” initiative and the possibility of mutual exchange and collaboration.
During Mr. Dato Ricky Tan’s stay at DMU, he also visited the university laboratory for salvage, the survival training site, and the Exhibition Hall of DMU History.
