To enhance mutual communication of international talents training and management of transportation industry, to promote academic communicationandcooperation, and to boost theinternationalization oftheWorldTransportConvention(WTC), the INTERNATIONAL STUDENT FORUM AND INAUGURAL CEREMONY OF WTCINTERNATIONAL STUDENT OPERATING COMMITTEE, organized by International Education College of Chang’an University and sponsored by WTC was successfully held on June 18th.
As a member of WTC International Student Operation Committee, the International Students’Education Center of Dalian Maritime University paid great importance to the event and recommended high lever international student thesis to the forum. After careful evaluation of experts, Tanzania PhD studentTENGECHA NYAMATARI ANSELEM’s thesis was accepted and was invited to deliver academic report during the forum. Other 3 PhD students of DMU—AFUM EBENEZERfrom Ghana,AGYABENG-MENSAH YAWfrom Ghana, andWAISS ALI ADENfromDjiboutiwere invited to attend the forum as international student representatives.
During the forum, totally 7 international students from Dalian Maritime University, Tongji University, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Chang’an University etc. delivered academic reports. And the topic ofTENGECHA NYAMATARI ANSELEM’s report is The Challenges and Opportunities of Dar es Salaam City Bus Rapid Transit Phases Implementation. The sufficient data analysis, scientific demonstration, and clear illustration of his report gained active response and high recognition of attending international students and experts. All international students attending the forum fully communicated and exchanged their ideas regarding academic research, engineering practice, experience summary,scientific and technological innovation of transportation industry.
TheWorldTransportConvention(WTC),approved by State Council of China, jointly organized by Scientific Association, Ministry of Transportation, Academy of Engineering of China and other related organizations is an academic conference of international transportation industry as well as a platform displaying international transportation research achievements.We believe this forum will further enhance the mutual communication among international talents of transportation industry. We also believe that by the help of the forum, the member universities will continuously enhance connection, to jointly promote internalization of transportation industry as well as cooperation and exchange of high level international talents.
