To further understand the experienceandacknowledgement of our international students studying in DMUas well asin Liaoning province,to enrich the study life of international students, and to provide a platform for international students to express themselves and enhance mutual communication, the Essay Competition“Liaoning and Me”sponsored by Liaoning Provincial Department of Education has officially kicked off. Detailed information are as follows:

All DMU international students and alumni
Ⅳ、Essay Requirements
1.Essay Topic：
By telling story, express your experience and feeling of study or living in DMU, Dalian, or Liaoning province as aninternational student from aspects of study, living, society etc. The topic of your story can be but not limited to:
（1）Your experience or story of studying Chinese language(e.g. any tips or how to learn the language compared with your native language)
（2）Your experience of study in DMU, Dalian or Liaoning province (e.g.your interaction with other students and teachers, your experience or achievements in academic field or pandemic control etc.)
（3）Your story of living in DMU, Dalian or Liaoning province (e.g. your experience with local food, or story with local people or Chinese friends.)
（4）Your advice and opinions: Any good experience that DMU, Dalian or Liaoning province can learn from other countries or institutions.Or any experience or models that DMU, Dalian or Liaoning can share with other countries or institutions(e.g. economic development, public health, infrastructure etc.)
（5）Your career plan: How to utilize the knowledge acquired in China to the construction of your own country or well being of human community (e.g. Chinese e-commerce, medicine, agriculture or industry experience, or environmental protection)
（6）Being an ambassador of friendship: How to enhance relationship between China and your country (e.g. transfer information from China through social mediums or reports, enhance economic,trade, academic or governmental cooperation with China etc.)
2.Essay Content：
The essay content should be closely connected with the topic. The essay can bewrittenin Chinese or English with 200 to 300 words.
3.Essay Format：
（1）The title should be size 2 bold in Song style,andthe essay main body should be size 3 in Fang-Song style.
（2）Writer’s name, major, nationality and social medium account (if any, including Facebook, Twitter, You Tube etc.) should be added in the end of the essay.
4.Annex of essay：
The writer should provide 2-3 digital photos related to the essay with words introduction, with size of photo below 1MB. The essay and photo should be original from the writer.
5.Deadline of essay submission：
May 18th2021
6.Essay submission methods：

Ⅴ、Evaluation procedure:
Phase 1: DMU essay evaluation committee will carefully review the essays and give awards of university level.
Phase 2: DMU will recommend 10 best essays to Liaoning Provincial Department of Education which will evaluate allessays from universities of the province, and give awards of provincial level.
Ⅵ、Awardsof the event:
Participants will have the chance of receiving1st, 2nd, 3rdprizeand awards issued by DMU.
Participants whose essay are recommended toLiaoning Provincial Department of Education willhave the chance of receiving1st, 2nd, 3rdprize, honorable prize etc.issued byprovincialgovernment.
