Notice to International Students Regarding Arrangements of Beginning of 2021 Spring Semester



All International Students of DMU:


Spring semester of year 2021 is coming soon, according to related notice and regulation from school and upper level departments, and considering practical situation of international students, here we notify following arrangements of beginning of spring semester of 2021:


一、Begin and registration time of new semester:


(一)Classes start time for new semester:

Classes for Chinese language students start from March 10th(Wednesday);

Classes for undergraduate and postgraduate students start from March 15th(Monday).


(二)Registration time for new semester:


Chinese language new students register on March 8th(Monday) online and offline at the same time;

Chinese language old students register from March 8th(Monday) to 11th(Thursday) online and offline at the same time;

Undergraduate and postgraduate international students register from March 15th(Monday) to 18th(Thursday) online and offline at the same time.


二、Students that can return to school and related arrangements:



(一)Students in China, choose to live on campus and meet with following requirements can apply to return to school:


1、The status of“State Council epidemic prevention itinerary card”and“Health Code of Liaoshitong”(hereinafter referred to as“One card one code”should be in green colour;

2、Students whose“One card one code”not in green colour can apply to return to school later and should provide prove of negative result ofnucleic acid testingwithin 7 days before returning to school;

3、Students in medium or high risk regions in China should provide negative result ofnucleic acid testingwithin 7 days before returning to school.


(二)Related arrangements of returning to school:

Student Affairs Office of ISEC will contact international students meeting with requirements of returning to school respectively, guide students on submitting application and related materials, evaluating the materials and issue the final approval of returning to school.

International students receiving formal approval from ISEC should return to school on March 12th(Friday) and enter school following required procedures. Please contact Student Affairs Office for details.


(三)Registration and education of international students on campus

International students on campus can register and attend classes as well as other academic issues offline according to general arrangements of school. Please go to offices of ISEC within required time to register. Please finish related issues including make-up exams, choosing class etc. and attend class according to your class time table on time (Arrangements of make-up exams and class choosing for undergraduate students will be notified later).


(四)Management of students on campus

To ensure the health and well being of students and staff members and safety of campus, the school will continue to follow closed-off management policy which means students living on campus should not leave school and those out of campus should not enter school without approval; one should provide required information and prove while entering school; people with suspicious symptoms should undertake medical isolation; and anyone violating related regulations will receive serious punishment. Students living on campus and want to leave school because of special reasons such as illness etc. should apply to ISEC and can leave school after getting formal approval and should return to school on time.


三、Students that can not return to school and related arrangements



(一)Following students can not return to school:


1、Students living out of China or in medium or high risk areas, orchoosingto live out of school can not return to school.

2、Students themselves or their cohabitants that are confirmed cases,asymptomatic carriers or close contacts can not return to school.

3、Students with symptoms of fever, coughing,diarrheaetc. can not return to school.

Without formal approval from ISEC, international students out of campus can not return to school and those violate the regulation will receive related penalties.


(二)Registration and education of international students that can not return to school:


1、Registration for international students that can not return to school:

International students that can not return to school can register online for new semester. Admission Office and Students Affairs Office of ISEC will contact every student respectively and guide the students to conduct online registration. International students please finish online registration procedures including filling in registration form and paying related fees etc.on time.

2、Academic issues of international students that can not return to school:

Students that can not return to school can attend classes, exams, do thesis, oral defense etc. online. Please finish online registration and contact Academic Affairs Office or Chinese teachers of ISEC as soon as possible at the beginning of the semester to confirm detailed arrangements of online courses. Please attend all online classes and other academic activities on time according to requirements of class teachers or supervisors to ensure your personal training plan being finished as schedule.


四、Others


(一)No matter doing registration online or offline, those fail to finish registration procedures, or payment procedures on time can not register, and those didn’t finish registration can not attend class or other academic activities.


(二)After registration, no matter study online or offline, students should choose courses, attend courses or exams, conduct paper work etc. on time. Those fail to attend courses or exams on time will be regarded as being absent and one being absent from academic activities for more than 2 weeks will be regarded as automatically dropping out of school. Students studying online should still follow related regulations of school.


(三)Students that can not return to school and can not study online because of practical problems can apply to suspend the schooling. The duration of study suspension should be at least 1 semester and during the suspension period, students do not need to register or attend classes or exams and do not enjoy any rights of students registered.


(四)According to the development of pandemic control situation and updated requirements of school and upper level departments,ISEC will adjust related arrangements and make announcement later.
