International Students Attended the Scholarship Award Ceremony of 2014-2015 Academic Year

On November 28th, DMU Scholarship Award Ceremony for Outstanding Students of 2014-2015 Academic Year was held in the campus gym. University leaders, representatives of sponsor enterprises, representatives of each administration department and professional schools, and scholarship winners attended the ceremony.

President Sun Yuqing addressed the ceremony which he believed was a big event for the university. He congratulated scholarship student winners and award class winners on what they had achieved, showed heartfelt thanks to teachers for their hard work in cultivating students, and delivered his respect to 47 enterprises and individuals who sponsored these awards and scholarships.
Vice president Shan Hongjun awarded scholarships for delegates of selected outstanding international students who won the Scholarships for Dalian Outstanding International Students and DMU Outstanding International Students.

In order to attract more excellent international students to apply for and study at DMU, the university from 2013 set up DMU Scholarship Program for Outstanding International Students with aim to fund their study. The Scholarship Program includes different categories: new student scholarship, Chinese training student scholarship, undergraduate scholarship, postgraduate scholarship, excellent performance scholarship, study progress scholarship, and graduate scholarship. For the first semester of 2015 academic year, 37 students respectively acquired the Scholarships for Dalian Outstanding International Students and DMU Outstanding International Students.
