Students of IEC Attended 2016 Dalian New Year’s Concert

On the evening of December 18th, 2016 Dalian New Year’s Concert was held in Dalian Theatre. This concert was initiated by Dalian People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, and hosted by Dalian Sun-good Sky Wind Orchestra. People who attended the concert included officials from the municipal government - Chen Limin and Wang Naibo, representatives from foreign governmental offices in Dalian, staff from foreign enterprises’ branches in Dalian, and foreign experts. Over 100 DMU international students were also invited to the concert.

The entire concert was performed by Dalian International Philharmonic Orchestra, and Dalian Sun-good Sky Wind Orchestra. The conductor was Zheng Weitong, vice president of Dalian Culture and Media Bureau, and Dalian Musical Association. Many Chinese and foreign classics were performed, such as Century Prelude, Caribbean Pirate Symphony Suite, Festival Overtures, and the violin concerto The Butterfly Lovers.
