Series of Foreign Professor Presentations – What You Do Not Know about Australia

On the evening of November 25th, DMU experienced foreign professor John David Redenbach delivered a presentation titled What You Do Not Know about Australia – Introduction to Australian Culture. Some DMU international graduates and undergraduates as well as some Chinese students attended the presentation.

Professor John started with his personal experience in Australia and used many amazing and interesting pictures and music to introduce Australian natural scenery, history, and demographics. Professor John especially introduced Aboriginals including their history, current condition, racism and discrimination they experienced.

The discreet and humorous presentation style of Professor John was very welcome among Chinese and international students. After listening to this informative presentation, students acquired more knowledge about Australia, found out the intense conflicts between different cultures, and also realized the charm of culture understanding and culture converging.
