According to “Notice of the Educational Department of Liaoning Province onTheList of Provincial Model Universities forInternational Students Education”, Dalian Maritime University (DMU) successfully passed the finalevaluationand was approved as “LiaoningProvincial Model University forInternational Students Education” owing to its accurate orientation, distinct characteristics, prominent achievements in nurturing international students.
To implement “Proposal for Implementation of Educational Opening-up in the New Era” released by the General Office of CPC Committee of Liaoning Province as well as the General Office of the People’s Government of Liaoning Province, the Educational Department of Liaoning Provincecommencedthe constructionprojectof provincial model universities forinternational students educationsince April2018whichaimed to promote the sustainable and healthy development ofinternational studentseducationin the province. A total of 13 universities, including DMU, have beenaccepted into the project withconstruction period for three years.
Sincebeing accepted into the project, DMU has continuously stepped up efforts in its education orientation, characteristics, objectives, cultivation system, curriculum construction, teaching staff, scientific research and academic research, facilities, alumni work andoverseas campus construction with favorable achievementsbeing achieved. In the mid-term and finalevaluationorganized by the Educational Department of Liaoning Province, DMU’s construction achievements werehighly recognized and appraised by the evaluation experts,whicheffectively promoted the construction and development of “Study in Liaoning Province”brand.
DMU will take this opportunity to continue to do a solid job in all aspects ofinternational students education,toimprovethequality and efficiency ofstudentcultivation and management,tostrengthen connotation construction,and toconvey China’svoice, cultivatingmore outstanding international talentswithdeep understanding of Chinaas well as friendly ambassadors of cultural communication.
