2018 Study Trip of Singapore Polytechnic carried on successfully

2018 STUDY TRIP of Singapore Polytechnic, which lasted for nearly 10 days, came to a successful conclusion On 18^th of December. There have been 21 teachers and students from Singapore Polytechnic participated in this project.

The study trip opening ceremony was held in International Students’Education Center(ISEC) on December 11th. Miss Jing Dinan, head of the admissions office, welcomed the students warmly. At the ceremony, teachers and students watched the videos of Singapore training programs over the years. Everyone showed their expectation for the coming study trip. They were full of confidence in learning Chinese knowledge well and looking forward experiencing Chinese traditional culture.

During the study trip,teachers and students visited teaching and training facilities and places such as Yukun training ship, Marine engine simulator, swimming pool of DMU, history museum of DMU and so on. Also they experienced the traditional Chinese calligraphy, traditional Chinese painting, tea ceremony, kite and facial making and other traditional cultural courses.In addition to that, they visited places of interesting of Dalian and learned about history of Dalian and DMU.

The graduation ceremony was held in ISEC on 18^th of December. First of all, the students watched the video of wonderful moments during this study trip. As the picture was presented again and again, the happy times came to their brain once more. After that, Chinese Language teacher Yu Jie gave a speech to express her best wishes to the students on behalf of all teachers. The student representative of Singapore Polytechnic made a speech, expressing his gratitude to DMU also. Yao Bing, head of academic affairs office, issued the completion certificates to students. She congratulated them on the successful completion of the study trip and welcomed them back to DMU in the future. The teacher representatives of Singapore Polytechnic expressed their gratitude to the teachers of ISEC for their hard work in this study trip, hoping that the friendship between the two universities would last forever. Students once again applauded warmly for the learning experience in DMU. The graduation ceremony ended in happiness.

Since the two universities launched the study trip program in 2011, with the high level of teaching quality and humanized management service, the short-term study trip program has attracted more and more students to participate in. By 2018, the Singapore Polytechnic has conducted 9 short-term programs, and the number of trainees has reached to 152. The study trip has deepened the friendship between Dalian Maritime University and Singapore Polytechnic，also it promoted the further and better development of the cooperation between the two universities.
