Prospective students should carefully review all the information in the admission section of our website in order to thoroughly understand our application process.To successfully apply, the student should submit the online application at https://dlmu.17gz.org   and pay the application fee before the application deadline. The formal notification of your admission or denial will be announced via online application system. You will be required to send us all the application documents and pay deposit to confirm your place at DMU if your application is accepted. Once you have confirmed your place on the program, we will issue an official enrollment letter and additional important documentation, including Visa Application for Study in China.

    Application Qualification
    The applicant must be a foreign citizen in good health, both mentally and physically, aged between 18 and 60, possessing a valid passport, and has graduated from an institution equal

    to Chinese senior high school.

    For the applicants whose parents are both or one of whom is a Chinese citizen and settled down abroad, and the applicants were born with a foreign nationality, who does not have Chinese nationality, as well as the residents of the mainland of China (the mainland), Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan who have immigrated and obtained foreign nationality, their applications to enter DMU as international students, in addition to suiting the other admission requirements of DMU, should also provide a valid foreign passport or proof of foreign nationality for 4 years (including) or more, and have a record of actual residence abroad for 2 years or more within the past 4 years (a year of actual residence abroad of 9 months or more can be counted as one year, based on the entry and exit seal on the passport).


    Application Materials
    1. Application Form for International Students to Study at Dalian Maritime University (the form shall be filled and submitted online )
    2. Photocopy of the personal information page and blank page of passport (If the applicant has been to China before, the visa page with entry stamp and exit stamp should be provided continuously)

    3.Highest Degree Certificate ( if the study duration is more than 180 days (inclusive), the notarization copy to highest degree certificate is also requested)

    4. Transcript during the study

    Note:
    1.Application Deadline: fall recruiting: July 10th; spring recruiting: December 30th

    2. Documents issued other than in Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese.

    3. Applicants who are still studying are also required to provide a study certificate and transcript issued by their institutions.

    Application Procedures

    2.The application online shall be reviewed by the admission staff

    3.The formal notification of your admission will be announced via online application system if your application is accepted. You will be required to pay application fees and tuition fees to confirm your admissions

    4.Once the related fees received, your admission materials, including the Admission Letter and JW202/DQ Form shall be issued





    Long-term Class
    Longterm class (with duration of more than half a year) enrolls new students twice annually, which commence in March and September respectively.
     The Chinese language study includes four phrases: introduction courses, elementary courses, intermediate courses, and advanced courses. 
    Students will attend classes from Monday to Friday which includes 20-22 hours of required courses and 2-4 hours of elective courses every week.

    Teaching Features

    ISEC aims at cultivating students’ practical ability of using Chinese language through various school activities (class size is kept at a maximum of 20 students). IEC provides students with various activities involving Chinese language practice and talent shows so as to enhance your reading, speaking, listening, and writing ability. Chinese language training is combined with preparatory education. IEC has a large number of experienced and highly qualified Chinese language teachers that contributes greatly to the high teaching quality.


    Short-term Class
    Short-term Class (2-4 weeks) is usually conducted in summer and winter vacations. The specific start date and course contents can be discussed according to the request of applicants. For group application, the class will be held with the minimum student number of 6; the teaching schedule, contents and activities can be tailor-made accordingly.
