In September, the harvest season, 167 international students from every part of the world came to DMU. In order to have new comers adapt into the new journey, ISEC held a series of activities.
On the first day of welcoming new students, ISEC simplified the registration procedures to make it easy to finish. We established the service lobby and arranged ASIA members to help new students with the registration, which improved work efficiency to a great extent.
On the first weekend of the semester, ISEC guided all new students to visit the campus, making students get a comprehensive understanding of the place where they will live and study.
Aiming to facilitate students’ visa interview and their understanding of Chinese law, ISEC invited officials from Exit and Entry Administration bureau to DMU. After their introduction to Chinese law, ISEC faculty introduced Center’s basic condition and departments to students.
On the second weekend, ISEC arranged a city tour. Students visited Xinghai Park, Donggang Convention & Exhibition Center, Seaside Road, North Bridge and some other landmarks. They were all amazed by the charm and beauty of Dalian.
After participating in the activities, international students quickly adapted themselves to the new life at DMU. We believe their future study and life here would be fruitful and bright.
