International Students Experienced Charm of Pottery-making

On the afternoon of April 21st , IEC Chinese learning students attended a very fun class – pottery-making class at the University Student Activity Center.

The teacher taught students how to use the “clay strip piling method” to make vase, cup, and other wares. Pottery making has enjoyed quite a long history and popularity with its easiness and practicality. Students were amazed by this interesting method, and all started to make pottery wares on their own.

This special class made international students find the charm of Chinese pottery and they all expressed their affection for this kind of class which could involve teaching into fun, offer them hands-on experience of doing something and meanwhile have them practice Chinese.
