Notice about Application for Dalian Maritime University Excellent International Student Scholarship, Autumn Semester of 2020
Dear International Students：
In order to encourage international students to enhance study activity, give recognition to students with excellent academic results, good behavior or special achievements, the school established Dalian Maritime University Excellent International Student Scholarship. The detailed awards and requirements for Autumn semester of 2020 are as follows:
1、Detailed Awards
（1）DMU Excellent Undergraduates International Students Award:
Eligible Applicants：
Self-funded undergraduate students of grade 2018 and 2019
Amount of Scholarship：
1st Prize: The winners will get scholarship worth of 8,000 RMB per person which covers part of tuition fee or accommodation fee of 2021-2022 academic year. The winners decide which content to choose.
2nd Prize: The winners will get scholarship worth of 6,000 RMB per person which covers part of tuition fee or accommodation fee of 2021-2022 academic year. The winners decide which content to choose.
3rd Prize: The winners will get scholarship worth of 4,000 RMB per person which covers part of tuition fee or accommodation fee of 2021-2022 academic year. The winners decide which content to choose.
（2）DMU Good Progress Award:
Eligible Applicants：
Self-funded undergraduate students of grade 2018 and 2019
Amount of Scholarship：
The winners will get scholarship worth of 1,000 RMB per person which covers part of tuition fee or accommodation fee of 2021-2022 academic year. The winners decide which content to choose.
（3）DMU Excellent Master’s Degree International Students Award:
Eligible Applicants:
Self-funded master's degree students of grade 2019
Amount of Scholarship：
1st Prize: The winners will get scholarship worth of 10,000 RMB per person which covers part of tuition fee or accommodation fee of 2021-2022 academic year. The winners decide which content to choose.
2nd Prize: The winners will get scholarship worth of 8,000 RMB per person which covers part of tuition fee or accommodation fee of 2021-2022 academic year. The winners decide which content to choose.
（4）DMU Excellent Chinese Language Students Award
Eligible Applicants:
All self-funded Chinese language students
Amount of Scholarship：
1st Prize: The winners can choose to cover 2,000 RMB for part of next semester/academic year’s tuition fee or 10,000 RMB for accommodation fee (only available for Yihua Dormitory 1) during 1st academic year of self-funded preparatory program or degree program study.
2nd Prize: The winners can choose to cover 1,000 RMB for part of next semester/academic year’s tuition fee or 5,000 RMB for accommodation fee (only available for Yihua Dormitory 1) during 1st academic year of self-funded preparatory program or degree program study.
Note: The next study period should last for one semester at least
（5）DMU Chinese Language Students Full Attendance Award
Eligible Applicants：
All self-funded Chinese language students
Amount of Scholarship：
The winners will get scholarship worth of 1,000 RMB per person which covers part of next semester/year’s tuition fee.
Note: The next study period should last for one semester at least
（6）DMU Excellent Performance Award:
Eligible Applicants:
All international students of DMU
Amount of Scholarship：
The winners will be issued certificates and awards.
2、 Eligibility：
（1）Complying with Chinese laws and regulations and DMU disciplines.
（2）Respecting teachers and uniting fellow students with good conduct.
（3）Respecting the customs of different peoples, maintaining friendship among peoples.
（4）Great achievements of academic records, good attendance and good daily behavior.
（5）In the reference period, students who actively participated in activities or contests on/off campus and achieved good results or made great contributions to school would be priorities among all applicants.
3、Those who with one of following situations can not apply for this ward：
（1）Degree program students that can not graduate within required study duration.
（2）Those who didn’t finish required payment.
（3）Those who violated related rules or regulations.
（4）Those who failed in more than 1 course (including 1) in mid-term and final examinations during reference period .
（5）Those who are during study suspension period.
4、Reference period:
（1）DMU Excellent Master’s Degree and Undergraduates International Students Awards: 2019-2020 Academic Year
（2）DMU Good Progress Award: 2019-2020 Academic Year
（3）DMU Excellent Chinese Language Program Students and Full Attendance Awards: Autumn Semester of year 2020
（4）DMU Excellent Performance Award: year 2020
5、Application Materials：
（1）Application Form for DMU Scholarships for Excellent International Students
（2）Scanned copy of related documents, certificates or supporting materials
6、Application Procedures：
（1）Applicants please fill in the attached application form with signature, and submit the form with related documents to ISEC 412 office before 17:00 November 18th (Wednesday) Beijing time. Those not on campus please send the scanned copy or clear picture of the materials to 1749036529@qq.com. The deadline of application is 17:00 November 18th (Wednesday) Beijing time.
（2）The scholarship review committee will evaluate application materials and determine the finalist.
（3）The scholarship review committee will publicly announce the name list of the winners and give awards to the winners if there is no objection.
7、Other Remarks:
（1）Scholarship acquisition cannot be overlapped. The reduction for accommodation fee can only be available for Yihua Dormitory 1.
（2）The DMU Excellent International Students Scholarships are usually issued twice each year in spring and autumn semester respectively.
（3）International Students’ Education Center retains the final right of interpretation of the detailed implementation regulations.
