Chinese Lunar New Year’s Eve will come on Feb. 11^th. At this moment,Chinese people are busy preparing for the coming of this most important and grandest festival and the whole country is filled with happy festival atmosphere.

To help international students on campus fully feel the happiness of Chinese lunar new year and celebrate the festival together, while maintaining pandemic control measures, the school has organized series of activities for international students to experience Chinese lunar new year and feel the warm of DMU family.

In the morning of Feb. 8^th, representatives of international students on campus were invited to school’s dining center to taste Chinese cuisine. With the guidance of chefs, international students made traditional Chinese food such as GongBaoJiDong, HongShaoPaiGu, dumplings etc. by themselves for the first time.By making and tasting the delicious food, international students got a close view of Chinese new year and had the feeling of home.

In the afternoon of Feb. 8^th, director of International Students’ Education Center came to international students’ dormitory to give lucky characters and spring couplets to international students which represent good luck and best wishes for the new year. The red lucky characters, spring couplets, lanterns all made dormitory buildings full of happy festival atmosphere.

In the afternoon of Feb. 9^th, teachers of International Students’ Education Center made dumplings for the 56 international students on campus. As one of the most important tradition food for Chinese Spring Festival, the dumplingsnot only taste good, but also represent Chinese people’s expectation of reunion, completeness and good future. Together of teachers of ISEC, international students enjoyed dumplings, chattedwith each other,havinga better understanding of Chinese lunar new year. The delicious dumplings broughteveryone closer,highlightedthe warmnessof DMU family and the content of Chinese new year.

Under the circumstance of sustainable pandemic control, the winter holiday and Spring Festival of year 2021 is quite special. Under the guidance of school, International Students’ Education Center will continuously do the utmost to enhance management and service of international students on campus to ensure our international students have a safe and happy festival, and spend a fruitful and meaning winter holiday. No matter where you are, at the moment of welcoming Chinese lunar new year, we wish all DMU international students Happy Spring Festival, and a Lucky Year of Ox.
