In order to further enhance the fire safety awareness and fire self rescue ability of international students, improve their fire emergency response ability, and standardize their fire emergency response, on the noon of October 20th, the International Students’ Education Center, in conjunction with the School Security Office, conducted a fire emergency evacuation drill and fire safety knowledge training in Yihua No.1 Apartment. More than 100 international students from both inside and outside the school participated in this activity.

This activity includes emergency evacuation drill, promotion of fire safety knowledge, and practical operation of fire extinguishers. During the emergency evacuation exercise, under the guidance of ISEC teacher and the assistance of the responsible students on each floor, the students held towels or wore masks to cover their mouths and noses, and quickly completed the evacuation in an orderly manner. Subsequently, Mr Yu Zhiwei from the DMU Security Office provided fire safety knowledge training to all participating students from three aspects: preventing fires, handling fire situations, and precautions for escape. In the final practical operation of the fire extinguisher, the students personally experienced the operation and use of the fire extinguisher under the guidance of the teacher.

This activity not only popularized fire safety knowledge and strengthened students' safety awareness, but also further tested their emergency response and self-protection abilities. The International Students’ Education Center will take this event as an opportunity to further improve and implement campus safety work, and make unremitting efforts to continuously promote safe and harmonious campus.
