International Students of DMU:
After a lively and fulfilling summer vacation, the fall semester of 2024 is about to begin, and the brand new campus is waiting for us to write more beautiful stories about studying at DMU. In order to help international students prepare for the new semester and not miss some important arrangements, we have prepared the following warm tips for your reference:
一、Please return to school and complete registration on time
The registration time for new international students for the new semester is from September 2nd (Monday) to 3rd (Tuesday), and for old students is from September 2nd (Monday) to 5th (Thursday). Please arrange your return to school itinerary in advance, pay attention to personal safety and enhance self-protection awareness during the return to school process, and keep in touch with the teachers of the International Students’ Education Center (ISEC). After returning to school, please complete the registration procedures for the new semester at the various offices of ISEC during the above time.
For international students who are temporarily unable to return to school due to special reasons, new student please contact the Admissions Office of ISEC by email: study@dlmu.edu.cn, and old students please contact the Student Affairs Office of ISEC by email: students@dlmu.edu.cn. Please explain the reasons and handle relevant procedures such as deferred registration. Please note that those who fail to complete the registration procedures on time will not be able to participate in teaching and training activities of the semester, and the teaching activities they have already participated in will be invalid. Those who fail to take leave or fail to register within two weeks after taking leave, except for legitimate reasons such as force majeure, shall be deemed to have forfeited their enrollment qualification or student status, and shall be treated as automatically expelled.
二、Please select courses on time and attend classes following timetable
The first week of the new semester starts on September 2nd (Monday), and courses and various teaching activities for both new and old students will begin one after another. Please complete your course selection, confirm your schedule, and attend classes on time. The deadline for undergraduate course selection is 4:00 pm Tuesday of the second week (September 10th). If you have any questions during the course selection and teaching process, please contact the Academic Affairs Office of ISEC.
三、Undergraduate students please take make-up exams at the beginning of the semester on time
The make-up exam for undergraduate students at the beginning of the semester is scheduled for the first week of the semester (starting from September 2nd). Please log in to the Jiaowu system before August 31st, 2024 to check the make-up exam arrangements and participate in the make-up exam on time. Those who fail to participate in the make-up exam on time, regardless of the reason, will be deemed to have automatically forfeited their eligibility for the make-up exam and will no longer be arranged.
四、Postgraduate students please contact your supervisor in a timely manner to carry out thesis and research work
All postgraduate students are requested to proactively contact their supervisors after completing registration, regularly report the progress of their papers to supervisors, revise their papers and carry out academic research work under supervisor’s guidance, to ensure the timely progress of the training program.
五、Please make adjustments to your body, mind, and pace of life
The new semester is about to begin. Please end your vacation mode early, develop the good habit of going to bed and getting up early, maintain a balanced diet and moderate exercise, make study plans and goals for the new semester in advance, and welcome the learning life of the new semester with a good physical and mental state.
六、Please keep in close contact with the school
Please pay attention to the notices issued by ISEC through student wechat groups, mailboxes, official account and other media in a timely manner, keep in close communication with your supervisor and teachers, and seek help in case of problems.
