At the beginning of September, the scorching summer heat has come to an end. The lotus flowers are blooming by the Xinhai lake. The DMU campus is welcoming new and old students to reunion together. The International Students’ Education Center (ISEC) is also well prepared to welcome young students from all over the world to gather at DMU and embark on a wonderful journey of study in China.

New international students have arrived, including former bechalor graduates returning for graduate studies and twin brothers reuniting here. We have welcomed new students from Luxembourg, Spain, and Algeria for the first time, and the number of countries of DMU’s international student and alumni family has exceeded 115. With the patient guidance of teachers in various offices and the enthusiastic help of international student volunteers, the new students successfully completed the registration procedures. The old students have also returned, warmly greeting their teachers and classmates, hugging and clapping, like long lost family reunions. They bring the harvest and accumulation of summer vacation back, filling every corner of the ISEC with full energy and laughter. Yes, we are ready to embark on a new journey of study at DMU!

This is the week of reunion after a long separation and the week of preparation. Next week, we will organize a series of activities for new students, including entrance orientations, legal lectures, opening ceremony, campus tour etc. Please keep an eye on our notifications. Next week, classes for both new and old students will begin gradually. Let's look forward to meeting the lovely teachers and embracing China's higher maritime education.
