December 16, 2025

The 5th Dalian Maritime University International Student Forum, titled “Study at DMU, Advancing for the Blue Dream” was successfully held on December 15. Designed as a platform for international students in China to present their experiences and engage in dialogue, the forum centered on three themes: My Journey at DMU, My Bond with the Belt and Road Initiative, and My Vision for Sustainable Transport. It showcased the growth stories of international students in the new era, both at the university and in China.

The event attracted numerous submissions. Following a rigorous review, 15 essays were selected. Fourteen authors presented their work on stage, sharing academic reflections, insights into the Belt and Road Initiative, and outlooks on sustainable transport, highlighting shared aspirations from diverse cultural perspectives.

After comprehensive evaluation, three first prizes, five second prizes, and seven third prizes were awarded. Mr. Liu Shaoman, Director of the International Students Education Center, presented the awards. He encouraged the winners to continue striving as ambassadors of cultural exchange and advocates for sustainable development. The winning entries will be included in the forums proceedings.
