Application Qualification

◆foreign citizen with a valid foreign passport

--for the applicants whose parents are both or one of whom is a Chinese citizen and settled down abroad, and the applicants were born with a foreign nationality, who does not have Chinese nationality, as well as the residents of the mainland of China, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan who have immigrated and obtained foreign nationality, their applications to enter DMU at the undergraduate level as international students, in addition to suiting the other admission requirements of DMU, should also provide a valid foreign passport or proof of foreign nationality for 4 years (including) or more, and have a record of actual residence abroad for 2 years or more within the past 4 years (a year of actual residence abroad of 9 months or more can be counted as one year, based on the entry and exit seal on the passport)

◆in good health, both mentally and physically, aged between 18 and 40

◆possessing a valid Bachelor Degree and eligible for admission

Application Materials

◆ Application Form for International Students to Study at Dalian Maritime University:the form shall be filled in the form and submitted online

◆ Photocopy of the personal information page and blank page of passport:

If the applicant has been to China before, the visa page with entry stamp and exit stamp should be provided continuously
◆ Notarized graduation certificate of bachelor degree

◆ Transcripts during the undergraduate study

◆A Study Plan Proposal: . A study plan written in Chinese or English shall contain more than 1,000 characters or words. The study plan proposal should include educational background and work experience, results of academic research, research orientation and plan for your applying major, and personal goals and plans after graduation, etc.

Note: the research orientation, which is the most important information for the related college to assign the supervisor for the applicant, must be written clearly in the study plan

◆Two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors

◆Language Proficiency Certificate:

①for Chinese-taught program,HSK Certificate (5th level or above)must be submitted.Applicants without an HSK certificate (5th level or above) should attend the Mandarin level test organized by DMU.Those who get a result equivalent to HSK 5th level or above and signed the “Agreement Probation” shall be considered.

②for English-taught program, internationally recognized proof of English proficiency,such as TOEFL / IELTS and etc./ the English-taught Certificate during undergraduate studies, must be submitted (except for those whose official language is English). For the ones who cannot provide such certificates, the applicants must attend and pass the equal level English test organized by DMU

◆Valid Physical Exam Record issued within 6 months: if the one submitted online is not satisfied with the requirement, it may be required to re-check in the designated agency after entry and the related fees should be covered by yourself

◆Blood Test Report：The Blood Test Report should include results of HIV, V.D.R.L, HbsAg and HCV.

◆Certificate of No Criminal Record: should be issued within 6 months by related police department in local country.

◆Copy of Photograph: the size should be 3cm*4cm, with white background and not bigger than 2M)

◆Others: If an applicant has published any paper, been granted any award or

scholarship, or has any other certificate of academic ability, the title, abstract and

publication or any other valid documentation shall be provided.

Notes:
1. The application deadline for applying for a degree program is each June 30th basically.

2. Documents issued other than in Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.

3. Applicants who are still studying are also required to provide a study certificate and transcript issued by their institutions.

◆ The application online shall be reviewed by the admission staff after submitted

◆ The formal notification of your admission will be announced via online application system if your application is accepted. You will be required to pay application fees and tuition fees to confirm your admissions

◆ Once the related fees received, your admission materials, including the Admission Letter and JW202Form shall be issued
