DMU 11th Chinese Speech Contest
December 3, 2018
On the afternoon of December 1, the final of DMU 11th Chinese Speech Contest was successfully held, which was hosted by International Students’ Education Center and assisted by Volunteers Association of Foreign Affairs. After the fierce competition, RI JU HYON from North Korea, 2018 freshman, won the first prize.

The annual Chinese Speech Contest, as a DMU feature activity, is a platform for international students to demonstrate their Chinese learning achievement, and an opportunity to exchange with their peers. This year’s contest attracts attention of all ISEC faculty and students. After the first round of competition, 13 students from 7 countries came to the final. With confidence and passion, these contestants showed their talents and positive spirit.

Speech content of each contestant was inspiring and creative – they praised friendly neighbors, cheered for the friendship alongside One Belt One Road, advocated for the environmental protection, spoke for their father, or set a goal for their life, etc. In addition to the intense contest, there were some fantastic shows performed by our talented international students, aiming to cheer for contestants and bring joy to the whole activity.
