On the evening of September 25, ISEC 2018 Welcome Party and Talent Show for Mid-autumn Festival kicked off.
DMU vice president - Zhao Youtao and director of International Cooperation and Exchange Department - Fu Xianping awarded to students the prize of 2018 Outstanding International Students. They also encouraged all international students to learn from the 3 prize winners and keep hard work in the future.
The party first started with a fantastic national costume show: international students walked on the runway wearing their national clothes to show the uniqueness and beauty of each country’s culture. The party consisted of 3 sections: welcoming new students, celebrating Mid-autumn, and talent show.
In the section of welcoming new students, the dancing group consisting of both returning and new students performed the Haicao Dance, which impressed everyone at present. As for the section of celebrating Mid-autumn, songs like Way Back Home brought pleasant festival atmosphere. The big highlight of tonight must be the section of Talent Show: everyone couldn’t help dancing while students were performing Chinese song - Hou Lai, training dance - Team Fit, and songs featuring South America characters. The party ended with the song - Halo while everyone came on the stage to sing together.
We hope the joyful activity could make international students feel at home and acquire a sense of belonging.
