In order to implement the fundamental task of establishing morality and cultivating people, and encourage more students to develop morally, intellectually, physically, physically, and physically in an all-round way, on the morning of November 26, Dalian Maritime University held Commendation Conference for Outstanding Students of the 2021-2022 Academic Year to honor the selected outstanding units and student representatives.
The conference was held offline and online at the same time. School leaders Zheng Shaonan, Sun Yuqing, Luo Zhongshan, Zhao Youtao, Wang Xiaoyong, Zhao Baogang and Chu Beiping attended the conference. Representatives of the commended students and 2022 freshmen attended the conference in the main offline venue.
ARROYAVE MARTINEZ DANIEL from Columbia, a 2021 batch master’s degree student in Logistics Engineering and Management attended the conference representing international students who won the "Dalian Maritime University Excellent International Student Scholarship", and received commendation from the university leaders.

At the meeting, DMU president Professor Sun Yuqing congratulated the students who had won the commendation. He pointed out that the commendation conference for outstanding students was not only a ceremony, but also an important learning lesson and growth lesson aiming to cultivate students the quality of gratitude; guide students to learn from others and get the strength of dedication. He put forward four hopes for students: first, to have ideals, second, to be brave, third, to be able to bear hardships, fourth, to be willing to struggle, and to devote their youth to the journey of making achievements, and to bloom brilliant flowers in the persistent efforts.
In 2022, a total of 53 international students were awarded the DMU Excellent International Student Scholarship with their positive performance in academic research and daily life, as well as their outstanding contributions in promoting multicultural exchanges and integration. All these students are listed in the commendation list of this conference, showing the positive spirit and image of international students in Dalian Maritime University. It is believed that more international students will adhere to the DMU spirit of "firmness, preciseness, diligence, and pioneering", forge ahead on the road to the future, create new achievements, and continue to convey the sound of study in China to the world.
