In order to comprehensively improve the education and teaching ability of teachers and promote the high-quality development of the teaching team, recently, the 2022 Theoretical Class Teaching Competition jointly held by the Teacher Work Department of the Party Committee, the Human Resource Department, the Academic Affairs Office, the Graduate School, the Development Planning and Quality Management Office and the Labor Union of DMU came to a successful end.

The competition lasted nearly two months, including the preliminary, semi-final and final. At the preliminary stage, 41 teachers were selected to enter the semi-finals after being reviewed by the colleges. In the second round of the competition, 21 teachers from 14 colleges were selected to enter the final by the supervision experts in the way of attending lectures in class. The final is divided into the science and engineering group and the economic management grammar and history group. The form of "offline competition+online live broadcast" is adopted simultaneously. All participating teachers, teaching students and judges attend the event offline, and other teachers and students watched the competition online through Tencent Conference.

Li Yanan, a Chinese teacher from International Students’ Education Center, successfully entered the final competition through various levels of selection. With rich teaching content, flexible teaching methods and vivid presentations, her performance impressed the judges, teachers and students, and finally achieved  second prize, fully demonstrating the strength of the school's international student education ability, and injecting new impetus into Chinese teaching.

The International Students’ Education Center will continue to adhere to the work purpose of "telling a good story about China and delivering a good voice of China", focus on core courses such as Public Chinese and Chinese Culture, create a series of general education brand courses for international students, realize the goal of promoting learning and practice through teaching, continue to serve the "Study in DMU" education brand, and serve "the Belt and Road" cultural exchange and mutual learning.
