Sports hold the primary position in a complete personality. In order to enrich the campus cultural life of international students, enhance their physical fitness, temper their willpower, improve their group consciousness, and enhance the cohesion of “Study at DMU” through sports activities, the International Students’ Education Center (ISEC) organized a teacher-student fun sports meeting on the afternoon of December 4th, attracting nearly 50 teachers and students to participate together.
Before the competition, the host introduced the referees, competition events, and rules. Under the leadership of four teachers, students were divided into four participating teams to compete in four sessions: "Working Together", "Crossing the River by Touching Stones", "Touhu Yashe", and "Pulling Mountains and Rivers with Strength".
Under the warm winter sun, the arena was filled with a hot and relaxed atmosphere. Athletes compete fiercely without giving in to each other; The cheers of the audience echoed one after another. In the "Touhu Yashe" session, international students learned about the historical origins of “Touhu” sport and further appreciate the unique charm of ancient Chinese culture. In the last session “Pulling Mountains and Rivers with Strength”, each team further felt the power of unity and the sense of collective honor in the competition of strength. Everyone was proud and moved by the fighting spirit of their own and their teams.
Sports not only exercise the body, but also cultivate the spirit of not being arrogant in victory and not being discouraged in defeat, as well as the will to fight tenaciously. In this early winter season, it added vitality and warmth to the students' learning life. The International Students’ Education Center (ISEC) will continuously innovate its work ideas and create a positive and sunny campus atmosphere for "Study at DMU". Through more activieites, ISEC will continuously promote the charm of traditional culture, facilitate multicultural exchanges, and cultivate more professional international talents who are physically and mentally healthy, love life, and adhere to the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind.
