In order to help international students better understand the actual management and operation of Chinese enterprises and delve into the forefront of Chinese industry fields, on the afternoon of December 4th, Professor Li Hui from Information Science and Technology College organized postgraduate international students majoring in Computer Science & Technology, and Software Engineering to conduct observation and learning at Dalian Topware Technology Co., Ltd. More than 10 international students participated in the activity.
At Dalian Topware Technology Co., Ltd., the product manager and relevant technical personnel demonstrated and explained to the students the design and operation process of virtual reality and software system development products, especially in combination with practical application products such as graduate education management systems, allowing the students to have a deep understanding of the wide application and positive value of front-end and back-end technology, big data technology, virtual technology, and artificial intelligence technology in actual products.
The international students personally experienced the VR employee training scene developed by the company, further understanding the technical connotation of the product. Students actively communicated with the staff on various business and technical aspects, fully broadening their problem-solving ideas and providing great help for future academic research. Everyone expressed that they gained a lot and inspired a lot from this observation and learning.
In order to optimize the training effect of international students and cultivate professional and composite international talents, in recent years, the International Students’ Education Center has increased communication and cooperation with professional colleges. "Professional observation and internship" has been included as a compulsory part of the postgraduate international student training program for various majors. Professional departments and teachers are encouraged to lead international students to visit and learn from enterprises, deeply understand the development experience and technological achievements of Chinese enterprises, promote exchanges between China and foreign countries, and promote Chinese concepts and stories to better serve the future development of the world.

Student Reflections:
We had a special opportunity to visit a field-related company to see how the lessons we have in class are applied in the real world to solve day to day problems. I personally enjoyed seeing and testing some of the company’s products and I was also glad to learn one of the products used at our university——DMU for accademic progress and management. I was so motivated to keep up with my studies and learn newer technologies so that I can also apply them in the real world. Having said this, I thank the Academic office and the College for preparing the course and I encourage more of those in the future.

It was really insightful, I got to see how students can use virtual reality to practice from anywhere, without physically going to the lab. Secondly, I had the opportunity to experience a hands-on virtual reality simulation specifically designed for the safety of coal mining workers. Finally, I came to the realisation that the company rendered services to some institutions mostly in Northeastern China, they designed a Student Management System and School portals for those institutions. I also got to ask questions and I was fully satisfied with the answers and the whole experience.
