With years alternating and new chapters unfolding, at the end of the year 2024 and the beginning of the year 2025, on the afternoon of December 29th, the "Study at DMU, A Lucky of the Snake" 2025 New Year Gala of the International Students’ Education Center (ISEC) was successfully held in the lobby of the teaching building. Nearly a hundred teachers and students gathered together to bid farewell to the old year and welcome the new year.
At the beginning of the event, Prof. Liu Shaoman, the director of the ISEC, delivered a New Year's speech. He reviewed the joint efforts and progress of teachers and students over the past year, expressed gratitude for their hard work, and congratulated them on their outstanding achievements. Looking ahead to 2025, he hoped that everyone will continue to hold onto their dreams, never forget their original aspirations, and work together to meet new challenges and achieve new breakthroughs!
The program kicked off with the joyful rhythm and rich atmosphere of the dance "Yuanri". The students of the Chinese Classic Poetry Class brought the poem recitation "New Year Poetry Rhyme", showcasing the timeless charm of Chinese culture in the rhythm of ancient poetry; Students from Thailand, Djibouti, and Democratic People's Republic of Korea performed distinctive folk songs and dances, making everyone feel as if they were in a foreign country and experiencing the local customs firsthand; The popular songs brought by students from countries such as Pakistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Togo, Tanzania, Papua New Guinea, Gabon, etc. were melodious and energetic, constantly arousing the chorus and response of teachers and students off stage. The program also arranged exciting games and lucky draws, with cheers and applause intertwined, adding fun to the party and further bringing students closer together. Amidst the passionate melody of the song “C the World, C the Future”, the party came to an end. With beautiful memories of 2024, everyone looked forward to achieving more growth and writing more stories in 2025.
