Affected by the epidemic, most international students have not returned to school yet. This activity was carried out online and offline simultaneously. International students and alumni on and off campus gathered together in different ways to talk about the future.

The forum was hosted by NOVIKOVA KSENIIA from Russia, a doctoral graduate of DMU, who is currently working as a foreign expert and a post doctoral in law in DMU. The 10 international students whose essays have been enrolled in the forum gave reports respectively. Their majors are different, covering Public Management, Law, Logistics Engineering and Management, Marine Engineering, Information and Communication Engineering, etc. Their teaching languages are different, some are proficient in Chinese, some are taught in English. Their topics are different. Some share their learning methods, some tell their feelings about studying in DMU, and some report their research progress. But each speaker's words described the beautiful DMU in their eyes, conveyed their gratitude for studying in DMU, their good expectations for the future, and their vision and determination to enhance cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries. 2 outstanding international alumni, MYINT MYINT MAW from Myanmar and GAMASSA PASCAL KANY PRUD'OME from Congo, who graduated from DMU as doctoral graduates, shared their learning experience and sent their best wishes. DMU international students and alumni from all over the world, regardless of skin color, language, region and time difference, were more closely connected at this moment, our hearts are closer, our dreams are united, and our eyes are looking to the common distance.

We are honored to have invited Professor Fu Xianping, Dean of Information Science and Technology College, Professor Zhang Yangui of the School of Law, and Professor Tang Liang of the Transportation Engineering College to give comments to the enrolled essays, and put forward encouragement and expectations for international students. Professor Ma Mingfei, director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, was also invited to give a speech to all international students. He encouraged more international students to participate in activities of the school and be the friendly ambassadors for cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries. International students were deeply inspired and encouraged, and further feel the concern and expectation of the school and teachers.

Finally, Prof. Liu Shaoman, director of the International Students’ Education Center, announced the final award of the forum. From the comprehensive consideration of language, thought theme, text expression and other aspects, after strict review by the Essay Review Committee, the enrolled essays were finally awarded from the three themes of "promoting common development", "deepening exchanges and mutual learning", and "outstanding professional thesis". At the same time, the award-winning works will be included in the Collected Papers of the forum.

The forum ended smoothly with the mutual blessing of teachers and students. Thank all the international students, alumni and teachers for their attention and support to this event. Let's look forward to face-to-face communication as soon as possible. We look forward to hearing more voices, seeing more faces and achieving more in the forum next year!
