In order to let students measure the charm of the city in early winter and feel the historical story and cultural accumulation behind the tranquility, the International Students’ Education Center organized a trip for international students in Dalian to encounter the city and feel the Chinese culture on November 11.
Following the light of the morning and excited, the students set out early and came to the Dalian Natural Science Museum, which is located near the Black Rock Reef beach. It is a comprehensive natural science museum integrating the collection, research and display of geological, paleontological, animal and plant specimens. The collection is characterized by marine biological specimens and "Jehol Biota" fossil specimens, including more than 20 kinds of marine animal specimens, and Its variety and quantity are the largest in domestic natural history museums; Among them, 66.7 tons of black right whale specimens are rare in Asian genus. Everyone was fascinated by the exhibits in the museum. While admiring the richness and diversity of the world's biological civilization, students also realized the importance of loving life and cherishing the earth. Today, with the rapid development of science and technology and the pace of life, how to protect our common home and promote the concept of sustainable development of green environmental protection has become a hot topic.
After leaving the Museum of Nature, students came to Dalian Modern Museum, which is located at the bank of Xinghai Bay. It is a comprehensive museum that shows the history and development of Dalian. The physical models, vivid videos, and historical photos demonstrated the changes of Dalian in the past century, especially the rapid development since the reform and opening up. It is like a film, telling the story of Dalian, a small fishing village that used to be, and its gradual development into an important international port city in the northeast of China. The indomitable spirit of the Dalian people has made all students admire. History is the best textbook, which inspires us to cherish the present and forge ahead .
Leaving the modern museum, students came to Xinghai Square, one of the landmarks of Dalian. Walk into the coast, stop and look into the distance, you can see the beautiful scenery. The misty water has covered the cross sea bridge with a mysterious veil, and groups of seagulls chase each other and fly happily. The students threw the prepared food into the air, which attracted seagulls to fly in succession. The seagulls were graceful and the coast was continuous. Students took their thoughts away from the history and got incomparable relaxation and freedom in the embrace of the sea and nature.
Later, the students came to the North Bridge along Binhai Road. This is a bridge near the sea, facing the mountain and crossing the valley. It is the key point running through the east and west coastal roads of the whole Dalian seashore scenic area. It is a magnificent abutment. The tall bridge tower connects the long main steel cable, which is magnificent. Standing on the bridge, you can enjoy the vast sea on one side and see many tall buildings on the other. The magnificent vitality of nature and the modern bustle are skillfully integrated. While stopping at this shocking landscape, students are also thinking about the significance of harmonious coexistence between man and nature.
Finally, the students came to the last stop of the trip - Donggang Business District. After more than ten years of development and construction, Donggang Business City has become a new urban landmark in Dalian. The magnificent international conference center, the 20 hectare music fountain square, the international yacht port, the Oriental Venice Water City, and the European style buildings all constitute the unique business cards of this new area. It is developing into a comprehensive modern business hub integrating business, finance, office, entertainment, culture, sports, tourism, leisure, and residence, injecting new vitality and vitality into Dalian. Everyone praised the rising new urban area and Dalian, a romantic and dynamic city.
