With spring returning to the earth, and everything beginning anew, we wave goodbye to the Chinese Spring Festival and welcome the arrival of the 2025 spring semester with full energy and expectation. After a winter vacation’s adjustment and preparation, are you ready for the new semester? What are your small goals to achieve? Let's organize some precautions for the beginning of the school year:
一、Registration for the new semester
The registration period for the new semester is from February 24th (Monday) to 27th (Thursday). Please bring your passport, student ID, and other relevant documents to the offices on the 4th floor of the International Students’ Education Center(ISEC) to complete the registration.
Please note: Those who are unable to register on time must submit a written application to the Student Affairs off of ISEC, explaining the reason for the delay and the date of delayed registration. The registration can only be postponed after obtaining the consent of ISEC. Those who fail to register on time for more than two weeks without valid reasons will be automatically expelled. Those who fail to pay tuition fees and other related fees on time, or fail to complete registration procedures on time, will not be registered. Those who have not registered will not be able to participate in various teaching and training activities of this semester, and the teaching activities they have participated in will be invalid.
二、Course selection, make-up exams
The new semester courses will gradually start from Monday, February 24th. Undergraduate students please attend classes on time according to the schedule of the Jiaowu system and complete the course selection and confirm the schedule before 16:00, March 4th(Tuesday). Postgraduate students please follow the course schedule publicized in the wechat group of each major. Please contact Academic Affairs Office of ISEC for any questions.
Undergraduate students will take the make-up exams in the first week of the semester. Please log in to Jiaowu system before Feb. 22nd (Saturday) to check the exam schedule.
三、Thesis work
All postgraduate students and year 4 undergraduate students are requested to contact their supervisors as soon as possible after completing registration, and continue their papers and related academic work under the guidance of their supervisors. The schedule for thesis defense varies among different majors. Please keep in touch with your supervisor at all times and complete the relevant paper work according to the schedule of your major.
四、Other arrangements
This semester, ISEC will continue to organize a variety of elective courses, academic lectures, and cultural and sports activities. Specific notices will be released in the future. Please stay tuned.
